Pure Land Farms is named after Tanaduk (Tibetan ལྟ་ན་སྡུག།), the Pure Land of the Medicine Buddha, literally meaning “beautiful to behold.”
We offer small group meditation programs in the Yuthok Nyingthig lineage, the unique spiritual tradition of Tibetan Medicine.
Pure Land Farms is the home of the Sowa Rigpa Institute: School of Tibetan Medicine founded by Dr. Nida Chenagtsang and we offer short practical courses and workshops in the subjects of Tibetan Medicine, herbalism, Buddhism, and rejuvenation connected with our online programming offered through Sowa Rigpa Online
In addition we offer diverse programming in the fields of music, traditional arts and culture through Yangchenma Arts & Music.
In the spirit of Yuthok Yönten Gönpo, the father of Tibetan Medicine and great non-sectarian teacher, we welcome students and practitioners of all lineages!

Pure Land Farms California is a ten acre rural sanctuary located in Topanga, on the edge of Los Angeles. A true healing oasis within a bustling vibrant city, it is a place to retreat and restore, to learn and connect.
Located on our land is:
Tanaduk Gardens, a botanical educational garden of medicinal herbs used in the Tibetan materia medica designed according to the geometric principles of Medicine Buddha’s Pure Land as described in Tibet’s traditional medical texts, the Gyudzhi.
Yuthok Ling Temple, the first Buddhist temple in the West dedicated to the practice of the Yuthok Nyingthig spiritual tradition
Mongolian Yurts: The traditional nomadic homes of Mongolia for personal retreat or small group meditation practices
