Ati Yoga (Dzogchen) teachings with Dr. Nida Chenagtsang

based on Shabkar Tsokdruk Rangdrol’s classic text, the Flight of the Garuda.

Shabkar Tsokdruk Rangdrol  ཞབས་དཀར་ཚོགས་དྲུག་རང་གྲོལ (1781-1851) was a yogi from Amdo, Tibet who spent years in solitary retreat in various caves in the mountains of Tibet. He was known for his yogic poetry that directly points out the nature of mind:

“The nature of the sun’s disc is radiance that a thousand aeons of darkness cannot obscure. Similarly, luminosity is the nature of one’s mind that aeons of confusion cannot darken.” (From Flight of the Garuda)

Over this four day immersive retreat Dr. Nida Chenagtsang will guide students through the verses of this profound teaching, focusing on the trekchöd (“cutting through hardness”) aspect of the Dzogchen Great Perfection path. This is an experiential program integrating guided meditations and personal practice with direct instruction.
