FOUNDATIONS OF TIBETAN YOGA THREE PART TRAINING

Part One: Yuthok Nyingthig Tsalung Trulkhor I
Part Two: Yuthok Nyingthig Tsalung Trulkhor II
Part Three: Yuthok Nyingthig Tummo Yoga

(Prerequisites for Part Three will include participation in Part One or Part Two)

ABOUT THIS RETREAT:

In this five day, in-person retreat, participants will learn the foundations of tsalung/trulkhor or “winds and channels,” according the Yuthok Nyingthik (Heart Essence) tradition – the spiritual tradition which forms part of the legacy of Yuthok, father of Tibetan Medicine.

The focus of the retreat is to establish a strong theoretical and practical understanding of these profound completion stage method.

Tsalung trulkhor refers to advanced, subtle body yogas, which include some more rigorous exercises. The core practices of the Yuthok Nyingthik are accessible to many. Some intermediate methods will be introduced, to prepare practitioners for further stages of training.

Dr. James Bae has taught individuals and groups of varying skill levels, ages and health status and will adapt the training accordingly.

The retreat schedule will involve both teaching and concentrated, group practice sessions. As Part One of a three-part curriculum, this essential training will support establishing a daily practice, as well as address the needs of more experienced practitioners, as well.

Yuthok Nyingthik tsalung involves accessory practices to the practice of inner fire (tummo) as well as other branches of the completion phase. It is unique in it’s presentation of these yogic methods – especially with regard to the clarity of the instructions. This spring gathering will explore these practices in relation to formal meditation.
